Enhancing the standard classroom locksets, which can be locked or unlocked only from the outside, the CGN07’s main feature is being keyed on both sides. It permits locking of the outside lever from either inside or out, safeguarding students and teachers while securing their classrooms. Exit is always possible from inside regardless of whether the door is locked or not. This “anti-panic” feature preserves safety and security by keeping the outside lever locked if the inside lever is activated. Since a key is required to lock the door from either side, students can’t lock a teacher out of the classroom.

• Latchbolt is operated by rotating the inside lever, or rotating the outside lever only when not locked from the inside or outside key.
