HOW TO CHANGE HANDING

If the handing of the latchbolt does not match the door handing, remove the locking screw and pull latchbolt out from lock case, then turn 180°, making the bevel of the latchbolt face the opposite hand. Replace the latchbolt and fasten the locking screw.

Electrically Locked FS (Fail Safe):

SC8080FS

  • Outside knob/lever continuously locked by 24V AC or DC
  • Latch bolt retracted by key outside or knob/lever inside
  • Switch or power failure allows outside knob/lever to retract latch bolt
  • Auxiliary latch deadlocks latch bolt when door is locked
  • Inside knob/lever is always free for immediate egress

Electrically Unlocked FSE (Fail Secure):

SC8080FSE

  • Outside knob/lever unlocked by 24V AC or DC
  • Latch bolt retracted by key outside or knob/lever inside
  • Auxiliary latch deadlocks latch bolt when door is locked
  • Inside lever is always free for immediate egress

Electrically Locked or Electrically Unlocked Both Sides:

SC8082FS

  • Outside and inside knob/lever continually locked electrically
  • Latch bolt retracted by key either side
  • Switch or power failure allows outside and inside knob/lever to retract latch bolt
  • Auxiliary latch deadlocks latch bolt when door is closed

SC8082FSE

  • Outside and inside knob/lever unlocked electrically
  • Latch bolt retracted by key either side
  • Switch or power failure keeps outside and inside knob/lever locked

Request to Exit (RX) Electrified Lock:

SC8080FSE-RX/ SC8080FS-RX

  • Same as SC8080EL and SC8080EU functions
  • A micro switch positioned inside the lock case monitors the retractor crank, and is actuated when rotation of the inside or outside knob/lever rotates the retractor hub
  • The switch signals the use of that opening to security systems, allowing a non-disruptive means of immediate egress

Privacy with Key Outside and "OCCUPIED" Indicator:

SC8495

  • Deadbolt thrown or retracted by key outside or inside thumbturn
  • Knob/lever retracts latch bolt from either side
  • Throwing deadbolt locks outside knob/lever and displays "OCCUPIED" plate
  • Rotating inside knob/lever simultaneously retracts both deadbolt and latch bolt and unlocks outside knob/lever
  • Inside lever is always free for immediate egress

Faculty Restroom with Key Outside and "OCCUPIED" Indicator:

SC8486

  • Latch bolt retracted by key outside or by knob/lever inside. Outside knob/lever always fixed
  • Deadbolt thrown or retracted by inside thumbturn
  • When deadbolt is thrown, "OCCUPIED" plate is displayed and all keys become inoperative except emergency keys
  • Turning inside knob/lever simultaneously retracts both deadbolt and latch bolt
  • Auxiliary latch deadlocks latch bolt when door is locked
  • Inside lever is always free for immediate egress

Privacy with Deadbolt, Coin Turn Outside and "OCCUPIED" Indicator:

SC8445

  • Deadbolt thrown or retracted by inside thumbturn or outside coin turn
  • Rotating outside coin turn retracts deadbolt and unlocks outside knob/lever
  • Latch bolt retracted by knob/lever from either side
  • Throwing deadbolt locks outside knob/lever and displays "OCCUPIED" plate
  • Rotating inside knob/lever simultaneously retracts deadbolt and latch bolt and unlocks outside knob/lever
  • Inside lever is always free for immediate egress
